Position Description:
Develops software in Java Web services and Application Programming Interface (API) solutions. Documents APIs using API documentation framework (Swagger). Develops highly scalable distributed systems using open-source technologies. Tests frameworks -- Junit, Mockito, and Spring Test. Develops Web applications using JSP, HTML, CSS/SASS, jQuery, Angular, and NodeJS. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing REST and SOAP-based Web services for external consumption, using Amazon Web Service (AWS).
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing REST and SOAP-based Web services for external consumption, using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") designing and publishing microservice APIs for internal consumption, using Swagger API.
DE defining REST API contracts by outlining the structure and behavior of API endpoints using JSON; and creating SOAP API clients from stubs and JSON object formats.
DE opening customer, platform, and partner accounts and transferring assets using client-side technologies -- HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery and server- side technologies (Spring Boot and Spring MVC).
DE developing financial services solutions, using server-side technologies (Java, JUnit, SOAP, REST, Struts, and Spring) and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) (Eclipse) for the external consumption using AWS.
