Develops technical solutions that meet functional, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements using Java, J2EE, JSP Apache Sling, OSGI, and Java Content Repository. Programs software and Web applications via microservices and integrations with applications using HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript, Angular, AJAX, JSP, jQuery, Sightly/HTL, CSS, Node.js, RESTful Web Services, and XML authoring systems -- DITA. Develops and improves back-end software features, workflow, and administration using Adobe Experience Manager. Improves platform data management using Amazon Web Services (AWS). Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing customer interaction experience software using Java, JavaScript, Node, or Spring within an Information Technology (IT) environment.
Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing customer interaction experience software using Java, JavaScript, Node, or Spring within an Information Technology (IT) environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") automating business processes, workflows, lifecycle management, and integrating enterprise systems (Web Content Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, and Product Information Management) to define solutions that deliver strategic advantage to users using Adobe Experience Manager.
DE translating business requirements for associate facing content management into proposed knowledge management solutions to take advantage of commercial off-the-shelf functionality (Adobe Experience Manager) and minimize required customizations; and communicating solutions to key project stakeholders and detailing the benefits of investments using Adobe Experience Manager; and developing and supporting DITA topics and maps under assets using XML Adobe guides.
DE writing clean, testable, readable, and maintainable code and deploying with Maven, ANT, Jenkins, or AWS; deploying data from one database to another using Batch Processing; hosting third party vendor associate content management applications in AWS, running on premises or Adobe managed Cloud infrastructure.
DE developing Java RESTful services and middle-tier, multi-threaded applications using Java, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks according to Agile methodologies; performing application build, deployment, and support using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins); and performing configuration management using Git Stash; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD), using uDeploy or SONAR according to Unit/JUnit testing techniques.
