Sr Quality Analyst (QA Lead)
Location: Downtown Toronto – Hybrid Model (1-2 days a week)
Duration of Contract/Perm: 6 month contract with intention to convert to full time.
Hours/week: 37.5 hours/week

Job Description
The role is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for functional system integration and acceptance testing across multiple platforms, in compliance with established controls, standards, policies, and procedures. The role utilizes a solid understanding of business dynamics to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The role troubleshoots problems and provides technical training to less experienced employees, maintaining test system configurations and executing test scripts using test tools for compliance with testing standards. The role uses judgment and autonomy on day-to-day tasks, exercising considerable latitude in analyzing and resolving complex problems during test execution, or escalating issues and concerns. The role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for possible improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements. Manage and coordinate end-to-end testing activities for small and large projects across many teams with both onsite and offshore resources.
- Respond to clients inquiries and requests, providing professional high-quality customer service for the assigned portfolio to ensure client satisfaction. You will liaise and interact with clients as part of the daily management of your portfolio technology to support objectives or address issues.
- Work with test leads, business, business analysts, and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software projects and satisfy the constraints of the project by reviewing project documentation.
- Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track/provide progress testing status reporting as needed. Adhere to our clients processes through all phases of the software development life cycle—ensure test activities are compliant with test standards. Recognize, anticipate, and resolve testing activities challenges during the testing life cycle.
Must Have Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Experience in Software Testing Life Cycle - Agile or Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, Tools, Techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
- Leading a team Quality Assurance Analyst, preferably 2 or more in an offshore/onshore capacity
- Automation Testing using Python
- Selenium
- HP-ALM
- Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
- Values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with conformiQ, Java, RF+Selenium, GitHub, Jenkins, Automation (Object Repository, Custom Action), Accessibility testing, Analytics testing, HPQC ALM.
