Job Overview

The Field Sales Internship offers college students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure in Sales Operations within the Consumer-Packaged Goods and Beverage (CPGB) industry.

The Field Sales Intern will support the local sales team in achieving sales targets and expanding their customer base. This internship will provide on-the-job experiential learning and a broader understanding of the business and CPGB industry through various capacities, including:

  • Experiencing our value chain of make, sell, deliver
  • Supporting various aspects of our go-to market strategy (ex: merchandising, POS, backroom management, customer conversations, etc.)
  • Executing applicable promotions and new products based on target lists
  • Participating in monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives
  • Assisting with marketing promotions and Point-of-Sale activities
  • Supporting the execution of commercial plans to generate sales growth

This is a part-time paid opportunity with potential to convert to a full-time opportunity upon graduation based on intern’s performance

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the local sales team and rotate with hands on experience through various roles to gain insight and exposure within the Sales & Service business function.
  • Build relationships with customers and internal teammates through job shadowing and ride-alongs.
  • Maintain daily communication with your manager, assigned mentors, and Sales Leaders for guidance and feedback.
  • Attend Sales Operations team meetings to stay informed and engaged with the team’s activities and annual business objectives.
  • Gain cross-functional exposure and business acumen knowledge through facility tours and shadow opportunities with other business function teammates.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Currently enrolled in accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs)

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Up to 12 Months Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
