Job Overview
The Field Sales Internship offers college students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure in Sales Operations within the Consumer-Packaged Goods and Beverage (CPGB) industry.
The Field Sales Intern will support the local sales team in achieving sales targets and expanding their customer base. This internship will provide on-the-job experiential learning and a broader understanding of the business and CPGB industry through various capacities, including:
- Experiencing our value chain of make, sell, deliver
- Supporting various aspects of our go-to market strategy (ex: merchandising, POS, backroom management, customer conversations, etc.)
- Executing applicable promotions and new products based on target lists
- Participating in monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives
- Assisting with marketing promotions and Point-of-Sale activities
- Supporting the execution of commercial plans to generate sales growth
This is a part-time paid opportunity with potential to convert to a full-time opportunity upon graduation based on intern’s performance
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the local sales team and rotate with hands on experience through various roles to gain insight and exposure within the Sales & Service business function.
- Build relationships with customers and internal teammates through job shadowing and ride-alongs.
- Maintain daily communication with your manager, assigned mentors, and Sales Leaders for guidance and feedback.
- Attend Sales Operations team meetings to stay informed and engaged with the team’s activities and annual business objectives.
- Gain cross-functional exposure and business acumen knowledge through facility tours and shadow opportunities with other business function teammates.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Currently enrolled in accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain reliable transportation
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs)
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Up to 12 Months Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
