Join the #1 beer distributor in the United States! We are hiring immediately and offering the following:

  • Shift: 1st Shift Full-time - 5am start time
  • Schedule: Tuesday-Friday (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off)
  • Local Deliveries - Home Every Night
  • Prior touch freight experience is required
  • Pay: Starting at $26 per hour
  • Off on Major Holidays (8 Total)
  • Must be 21 Year of Age

The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.

Position Summary:

The Company hires and trains individuals with less than one year of experience and enters them into our Driver Training Program. Driver Trainees receive training and coaching and perform driver duties that allow them to gain the necessary experience to qualify for a professional driver position.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Satisfactorily complete the company's Driver Training Program
  • Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicle
  • Use Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack and/or hand truck
  • Maneuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles
  • Unload and deliver products to our customer utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environments
  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnel
  • Complete delivery and pick up paperwork
  • Pick up returned product as required
  • Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, etc.
  • Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicle
  • Complete company training and certifications as required
  • Effectively communicate and maintain contact with shift supervisor, dispatch, and/or co-workers
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Learner's Permit, or equivalent driving experience in the military
  • Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record in compliance with DOT requirements
  • Must agree to satisfactorily complete the company's Driver Training Program
  • Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer background, DOT Physical and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with a handheld ordering device and working in a multi-temperature environment
  • Stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading experience
  • Foodservice distribution, grocery store, or beverage delivery experience
