FINANCE ANALYST
JOB SUMMARY:
Financial Analysts play a crucial role in contributing to the executive team at Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA). They are adept at extracting and manipulating data from systems like SQL and Cognos, utilizing advanced tools such as R, Python, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization. Analysts take on a more leadership-oriented role, actively engaging in delegating tasks, answering queries from junior analysts, and fostering relationships within the organization.
This position remains dynamic, providing opportunities for Analysts to gain exposure to various facets of the business and continue their development as future leaders within the organization. Travel may be required, with a heightened focus on leadership responsibilities and collaboration with different departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Financial Analysis
- Develop advanced financial models for executive decision-making
- Lead financial planning efforts and contribute to the analysis of ongoing and future projects
- Assist leadership with financial analysis of on-going and future projects or programs
- Oversee financial information gathering and reporting from owned entities across North America
- Leverage advanced data visualization techniques and automate reporting processes
Data Analysis
- Highly proficient in SQL, Cognos, and other data retrieval tools for efficient data consolidation and augmentation
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python for data analysis
- Utilize advanced features of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for insightful reporting
Project Management
- Actively delegate tasks and projects to junior analysts, showcasing leadership capabilities
- Manage multiple projects for multiple departments that have an impact across TICO owned entities
- Demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills in a deadline-driven environment
Communication / Coordination
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within the team and with executives
- Mentor and guide junior analysts, directing them to relevant resources when needed
- Engage effectively with executives at the highest levels of the organization
- Coordinate seamlessly with various entities within TOYOTA Industries Corporation (TICO)
Accounting
- Helps instruct junior analysts on accounting systems and close procedures
- Perform financial consolidation for entities that TMHNA has an equity stake in
- Perform variance analysis on consolidated financial results
- Continuously improve visualizations and reporting, implementing automation where feasible
- Perform monthly close activities within SAP and North American consolidation Congos.
- Present in the monthly coordination call with the Japanese parent company
- Coordinate and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts for North American consolidated entities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
- CPA or equivalent certification or CPA certification eligible and/or JD a plus
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in related field
