Our global travel client is seeking a freelance Video Producer to join their team for the next 3 months, potential to extend through the end of the year. This role will start around 20 hours/week and eventually ramp up to 40 hours/week.
Ideally this role is hybrid 2 days/week in Chicago, IL. But open to remote candidates with the ability to work CST hours and with domestic travel for video shoots.
About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Video Producer to join our Special Projects team. This role involves producing a variety of internal and external videos, including sizzle reels, interviews, and media videos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality videos for internal and external use, including sizzle reels, interviews, and media content.
- Collaborate with the team to identify shoot locations, schedule shoots, and plan video content.
- Write scripts and plan key moments for video projects.
- Conduct interviews and oversee the entire production process from pre-production to post-production.
- Oversee video editing to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
- Research and seek out compelling stories for video projects.
- Make recommendations based on industry knowledge and connections.
- Proven experience in video production, with a strong portfolio of work.
- Ability to handle video projects from beginning to end, including pre-interviews, scripting, shooting, and editing.
- Creative, self-sufficient, and excellent to work with.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to research and develop engaging video content.
- Experience with short-form videos (1-2 minutes).
- Background in broadcast, TV, or talk shows is a plus.
- Familiarity with Workfront is a bonus.
- Story: A father and son pilot who have never flown together.
- Tasks: Identify shoot locations, schedule shoots, write scripts, plan key moments, conduct interviews, oversee editing, and research stories.
- Video Length: 1-1:30 minutes.
