We are seeking a Vice President of Strategic Accounts to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Sales and Marketing organization. The organization builds relationships with wireless, vertical market, and broadcast customers to generate new business opportunities. Day to day you will lead a team of senior sales executives responsible for developing and managing the overall account and commercial strategy for an assigned national account, across all American Tower products and services, to meet long-term business objectives. As Vice President, you will partner cross-functionally and oversee the execution of the strategic account plan to drive account growth and enhance customer relationships. (This position will need to be located within a commutable distance to the following locations. Woburn, MA / Boston, MA / Atlanta, GA / or Dallas, TX)
What You Can Offer Us
- Oversee all aspects of the regional and national account relationships, including revenue achievement, pricing strategies, master lease agreements (“MLAs”), and customer satisfaction.
- Lead a team that identifies, designs, and develops commercial solutions for customers that leverage existing and new products and services as well as existing real estate assets and capabilities.
- Set sales strategies by developing and implementing national account plans that advance the Company’s portfolio of leasing products and services. This includes thoroughly understanding customers’ initiatives, relevant metrics, problem areas, budgets, network build plans, organization structures/relationship maps (department and key influencers/decision makers), and competitive challenges.
- Lead and manage the internal deal creation process, aligning with key stakeholders and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Lead or assist with MLA and other national agreement negotiations across all products.
- Oversee the development and implementation of regional and market account plans. Collect market intelligence and customize leasing solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Product and Strategy, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams and regularly communicate sales strategies, initiatives, and key account information/updates to key stakeholders.
- Achieve lease-up, commenced revenue, expense, and EBITDA budget targets.
- Stay current on competitive trends and wireless technology evolution, identify potential risks to relationship or revenue, and develops mitigation strategies.
- As a Vice President, you are responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of Directors of Business Development, Managers of Strategic Accounts, and Sales Account Managers. You’ll also be expected to provide executive leadership, guide the Account team, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that enables us to meet our business objectives.

What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master of Science or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of sales or strategic business leadership experience required, ideally in or connected to product roles in the technology industry.
- Approximately 30% travel may be required to support of position’s responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively across many internal functional groups to optimize product offerings, create a seamless customer experience, and resolve issues.
- Deep experience with strategic selling, business development, and building strong customer relationships.
- Demonstrated success at identifying and synthesizing customers’ needs into concise, clear, and influential presentations.
- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and a team to meet requirements and deadlines.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
- Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results.
