Technology Product Owner - Transcript Lifecycle Project
Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Technology Product Owner (TPO) to lead different phase of a academic transcript lifecycle project. This project focuses on creating a self-service application for students and integrating backend systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SaaS product management, particularly with consumer-facing applications, and experience in higher education or Ed Tech, specifically transcripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a self-service application for students to upload their own data for an informal estimate of credit transfer and costs.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including marketing, IT, and customer service departments, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Manage the automation of the transcript and its data throughout its entire life cycle, from ordering to data usage for admissions and transfer of credit decisions.
- Oversee the projects four phases: automating the ordering of transcripts, data extraction from transcripts, evaluation of data for transfer of credit, and the self-service variant for prospects.
- Proven experience in traditional SaaS product management, particularly with consumer-facing applications.
- Exposure to customer experience, conversions, and business-to-consumer products.
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, capable of handling 6 to 10 stakeholders at a time.
- Experience in higher education or Ed Tech, especially with transcript life cycles.
- Ability to work in a non-agile, old-school waterfall environment and be flexible with methodologies.
- Experience in systems integration and a solid understanding of the technical and UI/UX aspects of the project.
