Our global technical leather client is looking for a Technical Designer to join their team FULL-TIME!
This role requires 100% onsite presence at the client's offices in Grand Prairie.
As part of a small but growing team, the Technical Designer will develop custom technical drawings for clients for clients' custom leather interior and transportation projects. They will also have exposure and support at times other areas of design around these projects such as exploring and designing new ways to quilt, perforate, print, laser and build out leather and leather furniture projects.
Technical Designer Responsibilities
- Develop technical drawings and modeling of projects
- Collaborate with Design and Production to translate trends into viable product designs
- Stay current on industry trends in materials, finishes and color theory
Technical Designer Requirements
- Experience in a design or manufacturing environment
- Portfolio of technical drawings for products, fashion or similar
- Proven understanding of market trends
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop; design tools such as Rhino, CAD or similar
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
