Northrop Grumman's Enterprise Insights & Analytics team is seeking a Data Insight Analyst to join our People Analytics organization. This position will report to the Manager, Advanced Analytics & Products, People Analytics.
This role will sit in our Falls Church, VA location but we may also consider a hybrid or teleworker arrangement for this position.
At Northrop Grumman, People Analytics is a core domain within our Enterprise Insights & Analytics (EI&A) organization. EI&A is a team of strategic analysts, scientists, engineers, and technologists who use science, research and data to identify strategic insights and create innovative analytic solutions for our business.
In this position, you will conduct quantitative analyses and develop innovative data products that help to answer challenging workforce questions. Through these efforts, you will enable HR leaders and business partners to make informed decisions across multiple areas of human capital including, but not limited to talent acquisition, culture, talent management, compensation and retention.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and maintaining innovative products that leverage data and advanced analytics.
• Creating strategic analysis by forming a structured hypothesis, identifying patterns in data using quantitative methods, and deriving insights that drive decision making.
• Driving projects from initial concept through deployment, leveraging opportunities for automation.
• Synthesizing and communicating results for executive audiences by capturing meaningful insights and takeaways from data.
• Working directly with a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leaders and HR partners, to understand organizational needs and business questions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 6+ years of related professional experience - OR - a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced ability to extract and manipulate data from databases using SQL and write custom queries. Familiarity with common table expressions and building views.
• Expertise with data visualization using Tableau.
• Ability to apply quantitative and statistical approaches to answer questions using data.
• Proficient using an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python or R) to conduct analysis and create visualizations.
• Experience in executive data storytelling, building compelling, concise, and insightful presentations to communicate developed insights.
• Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics) is preferred.
• Experience with people- or talent-related data.
• Foundational understanding or exposure to more advanced analytics, such as machine learning.
• Experience with U/X design principles.
Salary Range: $113,500 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
