Sr. Integration Analyst/Developer - EMR Applications

Biweekly Hours: 80.00
Shift: 8 am - 4:30 pm

Summary:
Highly skilled senior-level technical position. Plans, designs, and develops various integration processes designed to exchange data between the numerous systems implemented at MetroHealth as well as facilitates data communication capability with other external systems and institutions. Researches and creates innovative ideas while providing systems solutions. Gathers integration needs of new applications by participating in analysis meetings with various departments and other IS application groups. Provides departmental solutions when needed in the form of newly developed applications that gather data from the various systems installed at MetroHealth or facilitates creating new databases. Uses current integration toolsets and object-oriented methodologies and be fluent in working with major Operating Systems deployed at MetroHealth. Supports existing legacy applications. Provides after-hours, on-call technical/application support using remote access from home. Provides technical guidance to other members of the Systems and Development staff. Ensures HIPAA regulations and compliancy standards are met. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or other related field and 6 years related experience, preferably in computer programming. In lieu of degree, 4 years of progressive experience in a technical software development or support environment with an additional 6 years related experience, preferably in computer programming. Experience working in a multi-platform environment, willing to learn new skills at a fast pace and possesses problem solving skills. Experience in three or more of the following skill set isUnix shell scripting, HL7 protocols and interface engine toolset methodologies, C programming, ODBC databases such as MS-SQL, Oracle, Access or Sybase, SSIS, DTS packages, ASP.NET, VBScript, SAS. Ability to work independently and as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Preferred: Simultaneously worked in three major OS environment (Unix, Win200X) platforms. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
