Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Principal Military Trainer - SOF Work Cell Instructor/Controller (WIC) in support of the Army's Operations Group B, Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). The location of this position is at Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Principal Military Trainer SOF WIC will serve as a SOF subject matter expert and supports tactical and operational maneuver, and as required other Warfighting Functions (WfF), as a cell lead for a team of contractors supporting MCTP
• Trains military personnel on the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and SOF specific simulation processes and procedures. Enforces realism of exercise through role playing and conflict adjudication and resolution
• Supervise the work cell mission of translating training audience rehearsals, operations and plans in to simulation inputs/tasking's and scripting requirements. Train and support work cell augmentees in reporting, role playing elements subordinate to the training audience
• Ensure that the work cells WfF units/assets are simulated IAW current doctrine and unit SOP
• Supports the After Action Review (AAR) process by communicating significant events using the Workstation Reporting System (WRS)
• Maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Army, Joint, and SOF doctrine
• Works with the MCTP Observer/Coach/Trainers (O/C/T) toward a common understanding of SOF organization and structure. When required, assists in exercise design and scenario development
• When required, assists in pre-exercise planning by conducting Site Surveys and participating in planning conferences
• When required, assists as a SOF SME for the development of the simulation Rules and Workarounds book
• When required, assists with certification training for SOF
• When required, assists in maintaining the WARSIM SOF Data Base
• When required, assists as the Assistant POC for various administrative additional duty positions
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's Degree with 3 years' experience
• Minimum Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Warrant Officer or SGM's equivalent
• Proficient in current Army doctrine and synchronization processes
• Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)Familiar with current Army and Joint Doctrine
• Must currently possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• SOF Experience
• Served as a Maneuver Battalion/Brigade Operations Officer, or Executive Officer
• Graduate degree
• Brigade or higher staff officer experience
• Active DOD Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $71,600 - $104,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
