Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
WHAT WE’RE HIRING FOR
The ASGN Sr. Manager, Technical Accounting oversees preparation of the Company’s public filings and ensures compliance with SEC and GAAP disclosure requirements. Responsible for technical accounting as applied to new transactions and changes in GAAP. Key contributor to our internal control structure and executes important management reviews of information prior to being made public. Additional responsibilities include special ad hoc projects for our fast-growing, dynamic Company. In addition to the specific duties below, this position involves (i) working closely with other individuals; and (ii) access to client resources and confidential information.

WHAT QUALITIES ARE WE LOOKING FOR
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• CPA required
• Minimum three years working for a Big 4 public accounting firm, or another major firm
• Minimum two years’ work experience outside of a public accounting firm preferred
• Minimum of eight years overall work experience required
• Strong background in SEC reporting required, including either emphasis handling multiple SEC clients while working in public accounting, or current responsibility for producing SEC documents with a public company
• Strong current working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations
• Understanding of inline XBRL reporting requirements
• Preferred systems experience:
? Workiva for preparation and filing of financial statements
? Hyperion/Oracle FCCS and Essbase
? Equity Edge Online
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Leads SEC reporting process and drafts SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q). With the assistance of a senior level staff, creates and maintains referenced support for review by internal and external parties. End result of this work will be the timely production of an accurate SEC document with minimal edits following presentation to upper management and external parties.
• Assists with the review of earnings releases
• Performs financial analysis
• Prepare statement of cash flows and related analyses

• Performs accounting research and documents conclusions and assists with other department initiatives
• Document and maintain the Company’s accounting policies (e.g., revenue recognition)
• Participates in the annual audit including managing PBC listings, preparation of various memos and reviewing work performed by others. Successful completion will result in the auditors signing off on our financial statements within the prescribed timeline each quarter and at year-end.
• Assists with SOX compliance efforts related to financial reporting. Provides assistance with documenting policies and procedures, ensuring controls are being performed, and providing support to internal/external auditors.
• Performs annual/interim goodwill valuation analysis, coordinating work with the finance, planning & analysis (“FP&A”) team and external valuation specialist, as needed
• Assists with valuation of intangibles and goodwill related to acquisitions as well as overall purchase accounting and purchase price finalization, as needed
• Continuously improves processes with a focus on internal controls, efficiency, and automation
• Maintain high-level of job expertise by attending seminars, obtaining required CPE credits for CPA license, and reading pertinent accounting and reporting publications
