Description
This position will provide project management, business analysis, business process mapping, and technical design expertise required to effectively lead and manage functional, cross-functional, multi-site, international and/or multi-company projects. Each project must be aligned with site strategy and also be aligned with the functional goals and objectives. - Lead project teams through Project Life Cycle to ensure quality and technical oversight implementation according to clearly detailed expectations and customer requirements by utilizing project management methodology.
- Identify and effectively utilize necessary resources and skill sets required to advance successful and sustainable project completion.
- Actively communicate and manage relationships with functional and cross-functional team members to promote understanding, ownership, and support of the project while also maintaining positive relationships with all relevant parties (impacted employees, customers, sponsors, stakeholders, etc.) by keeping them up to date on project details.
- Develop and use metrics to measure progress and efficiency of team and meet project goals, timelines and deliverables.
- Provide input to MAG planning activities for all team members while providing specific “situation / behavior / impact” feedback and recognition to all team members as appropriate.
- Is an active “Champion of Change” looking to promote a winning vision of BI Fremont that is consistent with the site strategy by identifying the best approach for implementing strategic projects / process improvement that are sensitive to the diverse needs of the corporation, the site, our customers, and our employees.
- Lead project teams in a strategic focus area to ensure deep subject matter/functional expertise, influence and process skills to link and manage complex multi-project inter-dependencies across internal/external customers and stakeholders and drive maximum overall value through the most efficient application of resources.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Science/Engineering, or project management related discipline.
- Seven (7) years experience in project management, biopharmaceutical / pharmaceutical engineering, process analysis/improvement, within Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated Industry.
- In lieu of above experience requirement, will consider 5 years same experience plus Master Degree in Engineering or Pharmaceutics
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage smaller projects or subprojects independently and plan appropriately.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
- Must possess demonstrated experience reading and interpreting plans, blueprints and specifications
- International project experience preferred
- Physical Demands / Surroundings
- Works in an office based setting, with little or no adverse working conditions.
- Visual Demands
- Must be able to read and see clearly.
- Attendance / Schedule
- A scheduled 40 hour work week, but may work additional hours as needed to meet the needs of the business.
Compensation Data
This position offers a base salary typically between (115,000) and (181,000). There is opportunity to consider higher compensation above this range based on business need, candidate experience and or skills.
