We have an immediate need for a Senior Civil Engineer for our Mineola, LI Office.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of civil engineering analysis and design tasks related to: zoning analysis, site planning, site stormwater management, utility planning and layout, parking analysis and layout, vehicle maneuvering analysis, pavement and grading design
- Lead coordination and presentation of submissions with local utilities, municipalities, environmental agencies, and town planning boards
- Perform site investigations to observe and document existing conditions
- Complete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications
- Supervise the development of project plans, design calculations, specifications and lead the coordination with other design disciplines as required to deliver high quality engineering services
- Provide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects
- Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills on projects that range from small site restorations to large scale new construction
- Engage with existing clients and pursue new clients to support growth of the business in the region across LiRo's service lines
- Assist in the preparation of technical content for proposals for engineering services
- Attend industry and business development functions as a representative of the firm
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years' experience in Civil Engineering
- NY PE required
- Ability to provide guidance to junior level engineers
- Understanding and application of local code requirements
- Experience in using various structural analysis software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience a requirement.

- We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment
- Compensation: Minimum: $120,000; Maximum: $165,000
- The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position
Exact compensation will be determined on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
