Research Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Research Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing media performance data and providing actionable insights to support our strategic initiatives in the entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of Nielsen ratings and streaming data to assess media performance.
- Utilize advanced analytics to evaluate data measurement approaches and deliver comprehensive reports.
- Manage ad-hoc requests from stakeholders to provide timely information on program schedules and affiliate lineups.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for various media metrics.
- Support the development and production teams with insights derived from metadata and commercial logs.
- Stay updated on trends and changes in the linear, VOD, and digital viewing landscapes to inform decision-making.
- Facilitate communication among team members and departments to ensure alignment on research objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Data Analytics, or Media Studies.
- 3+ years proven experience in media analysis and data measurement, preferably within the entertainment industry.
- Familiarity with Nielsen tools such as myEvnts and Content Link is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings clearly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey insights to team members and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a flexible and resourceful mindset, able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
