Registered Nurse Pediatric

Pay From $35/hr.
MUST:
Experience Registered Nurse - Pediatric
2 plus years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Must have an active CPR
Must have an active and good standing Registered Nurse licensure
Must have Pediatric experience
Must have EPIC experience
Must have triaging experience
DUTIES:
Registered Nurse Pediatric will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Practice appropriate telephone and patient triage skills, being aware of the need to balance quality care with efficient use of time and resources
Prioritizing and routing patients to receive appropriate medical care or treatment
Assigning triage priorities based on the patient's condition and other factors
Perform patient teaching/education
Assess pertinent information, plan, implement, and document interventions and evaluate results
Initiating emergency treatment if necessary, and providing diagnostic and therapeutic measures
Thoroughly document all call encounters utilizing manual and/or on-line information systems at the time of the call
Communicating with patients, families, and other healthcare staff about the patient's status and course of action
Consults with Physicians on any special needs depending on health history
Updating patient health information systems with notes, and documenting patient conditions, treatments, and medications
Reassessing patients who are awaiting medical attention
Managing patients who are waiting and updating doctors and other healthcare staff about the status of patients
Using a centralized database to read patients' notes and health information
Making critical assessments and diagnoses
Directing patients to the most appropriate form of care once they've received as much information as possible from the patient
Recommending that the patient seeks emergency treatment, schedules a consultation with a doctor or treats the condition themselves
