Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for a QA Testerlocated in either Plano Texas or Chicago Illinois for one of our largest Financial Industry clients.
Apex does not support Corp2Corp hiring and is looking for candidates that are available for conversion.
This Job involves creating test plan, develop and execute test scripts to meet Functional and Non-Functional requirements. The resource will utilize his/her extensive Agile experience to manage sprint deliverables and communicates any risks or impediments at daily stand ups, and be comfortable with participating in joint sessions/working groups to discuss solutions within an integrated team dispersed across the globe geographically.
Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional/non-functionalrequirements, defining manual tests, creating automation solutions, and executing both manual and automated test suites. Ensures regression test suites are maintained and well designed. Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Leads test planning, usually at a team level. When part of a Scrum team, ensures stories are well refined and contains clear acceptance criteria. Ensures in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning. Implements the test framework for the team. Leads test case reviews and works with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage. Identifies automation opportunities and develops test automation for applicable test types. Helps condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Designs test data and ensures data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments. Assists in identifying and managing sensitive test data. Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results. Reports issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review. Participates in triaging reported issues/defects and assists with resolving or escalating them as necessary. Creates and manages traceability. Traces tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements. Uses testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments. Maintains and catalogs test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.) Individual contributor.

* Proven experience with high quality outputs:
- 3-5 years of experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing.
-3-5 years of automation testing experience
- 3-5 years of experience with JIRA and Selenium
* Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and independently
* Has experience with Jira, Tosca, Slenium, Toad for Oracle, API-Json, Mainframe, Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) Agile process.
* Able and comfortable to:
- Participate in the creation/execution of test plans and test scripts within JIRA.
- Conduct functional and regression testing of new or modified applications and systems.
- Perform high qiality manual and/or automated testing.
- Play role of Lead Tester of small test team.
- Follow all process and procedures to ensure full compliance with all Change Management (e.g., MRA, PMO, GIS) documented procedural requirements
* Excellent Communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Agile, JIRA and working in Agile teams.
- Financial industry experience, preferable in Trade Finance.
- Excellent Analytical Abilities.
