Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead our test automation efforts. In this role, you will participate in building a new platform from the ground up for our SaaS product. This is a unique opportunity to participate in the development of a cutting-edge platform that will enhance our digital presence and improve customer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, test automation frameworks, and a passion for improving software quality through automated testing.

Scope of Work

• Outcomes / results are defined in collaboration with management. Elevates questions on direction or more complex issues and work is assessed from a longer term perspective. May train or mentor lesser experienced employees.
• Design and develop the team’s test automation solution and associated frameworks.
• Collaborate with development and product team members to help them identify test requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
• Continuously improve and optimize test automation processes and tools.
• Mentor and guide developers in test automation best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing.
• Monitor and report on test automation metrics and coverage.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Possesses expert level knowledge and has top level skills and abilities to work on business problems of substantial complexity or scope.
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
• Bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, etc.).
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with stakeholders.
• Comfort teaching new concepts and skills to others.
• Proven track record of frequent delivery of incremental value.
• Strong desire for personal growth and continuous learning.
