The Team
We are seeking a Process Architect to join American Tower’s Shared Services team. The multifunctional Shared Services team delivers process optimization and technology solution designs, manages data, and reports on analytics for all teams within the Company’s U.S. Tower division’s Operations department. Day to day you will drive complex, cross-functional business processes and support the design and implementation of IT projects that support operational initiatives. You will be responsible for “big picture thinking” encompassing scalable business processes, business architecture, business applications, and available technology options from the perspective of the business. As Process Architect, you will partner cross-functionally to organize, lead, and execute project and program objectives.
What You Can Offer Us
- Provide hands on leadership to stakeholders, business owners, partners, and IT teams analyzing company’s business processes architecture within applications, to identify pain points and make recommendations.
- Presents process recommendations and design solutions clearly and concisely and can focus on key points to portray the intended message or purpose.
- Lead, build, manage, enhance business capability model along maturity / optimization of process framework and how it fits into the system ecosystem in order to drive business enablement of the longer-term development roadmap
- Determines process recommendation documents, including presentations, process maps, supporting metrics, business requirements and related impact analyses for complex processes or for portions of larger or inter-related processes.
- Implement a system to control the change management of related processes. Author specifications/requirements to be used by the developers for automation of process design.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Industrial Engineering required.
- Lean, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Design Thinking, or Agile-Scrum Methodology training/certification documenting technology integrations and strategies and using the Systems Development Life Cycle or related methodology to implement large, complex, technical projects strongly preferred.
- Business process design, system design, or telecommunications experience preferred.
- Between 5–7 years of process management, business process improvement, or business modeling experience.
- Experience with executive-level communications, expertise in cross-functional management, and an ability to lead through influence.
- Experience with complex business architecture design focused on system solutions that enable enterprise-wide capabilities through technology.
- Approximately 15% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently and with others solve complex problems in a fast paced, multi-directional work environment.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
