As a Systems Administrator, you'll be joining our program supporting a set of critical national security missions and customers. The Systems Administrator requires Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server experience who can work in a structured, configuration-controlled environment supporting both Factory and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to install, test and integrate software applications.
Principal duties include, but are not limited to:

• Administration of RHEL Operating System networks
• Support, maintenance and documentation of RHEL and VMS applications
• Evaluating operational software problems and providing immediate solutions to restore service
• Support onboarding of equipment to operational networks
• Troubleshooting issues and configurations impacting packet and data buffering capabilities
• Staff in our Principal (T03) and Senior Principal (T04) levels are expected to quickly gain mission and system domain knowledge coupling that with prior experience to mentor and influence others as well as contribute to advancing the program's objectives and meeting customer expectations. This position is based in Aurora, Colorado and can be filled at either a Principal (Level 3) or a Sr. Principal (Level 4) level.
Basic Qualifications
Level 3: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) degree with 5 years of IT experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of IT experience
Level 4: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 9 years of IT experience; or Master's degree with 7 years of IT experience
• Active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
• Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification
• At least 3 years of Systems Administration experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server
Preferred Qualifications
• At least 5 years of Systems Administration experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Server in a TS/SCI classified environment representing a strong proficiency
• Experience with Amergint or RT Logic software
• Experience working with worldwide enterprise networks
• Experience with other operating systems such as Windows Server, or OpenVMS
• Ability to effectively communicate and present to program management and customers
• Ability to effectively write technical documentation
• Experience sharing knowledge, mentoring, and working in a collaborative environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds (yet such is in-frequent)
• Ability to support after hours and on weekends as needed (yet such is in-frequent)
Salary Range: $110,300 - $165,500
Salary Range 2: $137,400 - $206,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
