Job Title: Principal Player Research and Instruction
Salary Range: $182,000 - $237,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility
Summary: The Titleist Performance Institute is the premier player development and research destination in the golf industry. We deploy industry leading technology in a state-of-the-art golf facility to improve player performance and golf fitness. Under the direction of the Co-Founder of TPI, this role will be responsible for providing a high touch and bespoke full-body golf fitness curriculum for elite players, golf influencers, and consumers seeking to improve their game. Leveraging rich data and analytics, this role will work in tandem with the Lead Sports Biomechanist to capture swing video of players and interpret 3D motion capture and Force Plate data to provide golfers insight into player development. These data findings will be refined into formulated action plans for a differentiated direct to consumer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Run the TPI Golf Fitness Experience. This consists of hosting golfers at TPI and collecting performance data produced by head biomechanist on all players using video, force plates, 3D motion capture and TPI Physical Screen.
- Translate data to a personalized and tangible action plan for player to apply immediately.
- Expert knowledge of all equipment used in the TPI Golf Lab.
- Explain data findings in an easy to understand/digestible format to all the parties involved.
- Conveying complex biomechanical concepts to non-technical partners is a critical skill that will be used daily.
- Teach what we learn in the lab to other professionals in the sport, through our TPI Certification program.
- Helping teach golf in TPI live seminars and on-line content is critical for this position.
- Continue to build the TPI certified network with a focus on increasing the number of level 3 TPI certified professionals. Continue to train up personnel on new service model so we can deploy around the world.
- Continue to build and nurture relationships with premier consumers and notable coaches to expand awareness of offerings and ensure return business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field. Member of PGA of America is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years coaching amateurs and 5 years coaching professional players.
- At least 10 years of coaching experience. Golf expert.
- Deep knowledge of 3D Motion Capture Golf Swing Analysis, and Dual Force Plate Golf Swing Analysis.
- Must be TPI Level 3 Golf Certified and proficient in performing TPI Level 1 and Power Screens.
- Preferred being recognized as a top teacher in golf i.e. Top 100 teaching professional by Golf Digest or Golf Magazine.
