Day to day you will provide legal and administrative support to the team while emphasizing regulatory compliance programs, real estate-based contracts, administrative matters, and helping Attorneys handle transactional and compliance matters. As a Paralegal, you will partner cross-functionally to review and analyze legal documents, perform legal research, update legal databases, and assist with the department’s day-to-day operations.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Assist with intake for new legal matters, assess the nature of the issue (with supervision), enter information into databases, coordinate with department attorneys and internal business clients, and track these through resolution.

  • Draft, with Attorney supervision, form legal documents and correspondence. Review and abstract legal documents, create payment requests, and follow up to ensure proper integration and payment.
  • Research, compile, and analyze data. Assist with due diligence fact-finding (including gathering facts and documents from other departments and outside sources).
  • Assist with resolving day-to-day issues related to pending litigation or other projects.
  • Notarize and/or witness documents executed on behalf of the Company.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or related experience required.
  • Notary Public in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts within 90 days of hire or transfer into the position required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Incumbent must be able to adjust to shifts in accordance with department priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
