Mortgage Loan Processor
Key responsibilities:
Client Interaction and Loan Process:
* Collect loan documents including income, employment verification, bank statements, property documentation, credit reports, etc.
* Analyze financial data calculating debt to income ratios and other financial metrics to evaluate loan suitability.
* Ensure the application is complete and accurate before submitting it to the underwriter for review.
* Contact borrowers to request missing information, update them on loan status, and answer questions.
* Clear conditions and collect documents needed from underwriting.
* Track loan status throughout the process and address any issues that arise.
* Communicate proactively with internal teams, clients, and external partners, to provide updates on request status and progress.
* Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Attention to detail with the ability to carefully review documents for accuracy and identify potential errors.
* Strong organizational skills to efficiently manage large volumes of documents and files within the pipeline.
* Financial analysis skills being able to understand financial statements, credit reports, and debt-to-income ratios.
* Effectively communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, etc.
* Proficiency in computer software and technology savvy.
* Able to keep up with a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to communicate primarily by phone, email and text.
Compensation:
Salary plus commission
