Position Overview
Our CPG / beverage client is looking for a Full-Time strategic and innovative Marketing Director to join their team! The client is very open to someone fully remote, but if you have the ability to be on site a couple times a month in Charlotte, NC, even better! You will be joining a lean team for a startup that had an amazing 2024 and is gearing up for exciting initiatives in 2025.
This role is crucial for driving brand strategy, overseeing marketing execution, and building a high-performing team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Director will collaborate with the Creative Director and Director of Growth Marketing while managing the Social Media Specialist and future team members.
The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment, effectively balancing leadership and team growth with strategic leadership in the beverage space. This role is vital in scaling the marketing function and positioning the brand as a leader in their respective industry. You'll oversee team management & development, brand strategy, marketing execution, cross functional alignment, revenue growth & ROI, team development, operational efficiency, and social media impact. The role embodies fully integrated marketing channels including branding, digital, web, video, print, OOH, events, etc., but social media will have a particular focus. The team you'll be joining is passionate, creative, innovative, collaborative, and all bought in to making this product a premium beverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with growth objectives for both Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Wholesale Distribution channels.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Brand Strategy: Define and evolve the brand vision, ensuring consistency across all consumer touchpoints.
- Marketing Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels. They work with various 3rd party agencies to assist with this, but you must have experience with overseeing these partnerships when necessary
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Product Development teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with business goals.
- Startup Contribution: Actively participate in day-to-day marketing operations, demonstrating adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Performance Metrics
- Revenue Growth and ROI: Achieve measurable increases in revenue and strong ROI on marketing investments.
- Brand Awareness: Increase brand recognition and positive sentiment through various marketing tools.
- Campaign Effectiveness: Meet or exceed KPIs for lead generation, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Team Development: Retain and onboard high-performing team members, enhancing skills through mentorship.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes and ensure effective budget management.
- Social Media Impact: Drive organic reach, engagement, and community growth through innovative social media strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- CPG, food and beverage, and/or D2C experience required.
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, with a strong track record in marketing execution and brand strategy.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in performance marketing and utilizing consumer insights to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with various stakeholders.
