Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is currently seeking Manufacturing Technicians to work with our Case Value Stream Operations team. This position will be supporting Propulsion Systems Divisions to be hired and working in our Clearfield Freeport Center with the anticipation that the position will be transferred to report out of our Copper Crossing Value Stream location in Salt Lake City after training has concluded and the Case Prep operation is ready to commence.  
Role description & Responsibilities:
Primary assignment for this position is in Case Prep performing hands-on activities and tasks associated with the preparation of rocket motor chambers and components, mold assembly, powder embedment, chamber handling and shipping processes, and other duties as assigned by the leadership team. This position will require you to work as a team to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and schedule of our program.
Area specific essential functions, responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
•  Ability to learn the skills and demonstrate the aptitude to safely and efficiently perform chamber preparation operations including hand buffing insulators, installation of the neck insulation and forward port adapters, installation of cork panels and applying cork potting, installing skirt hardware and handling harnesses, mixing and applying resins and adhesives, installation of casting mold assembly tooling and assisting with powder embedment operations. 
•  Ability to safely operate equipment associated with the Case Prep operations.
•  Ability to read, clearly interpret, and accurately follow procedures, standard work instructions, engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring all requirements are met
•  Certify to and sustain all Quality Manufacturing-to-Inspect (MTI) requirements associated with the area
•  Complete and sustain sound proficiencies in all required training, including skill based training
•  Ability to learn the skills and demonstrate the aptitude to safely and efficiently perform chamber moves with cranes, hand pallet jacks, and other powered equipment used in the area
•  Perform safe and competent operation of all hand tools, powered tools, tooling, powered equipment, lifting equipment, overhead cranes and other equipment utilized in area
•  As part of a handling team, demonstrate understanding and ability to safely perform spotting operations, execute directions of move director and performing duties of a move director
•  Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds
•  Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Experience Requirements for a Level 2:
•  High School Diploma or GED
•  2 years of related work experience
•  Physical ability to individually lift objects up to 50 pounds

Salary Range: $43,100 - $71,900
Salary Range 2: $51,200 - $85,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
