Position Summary:
- Responsible for leading Team Leaders & Associates in proactive safety, quality and TPS activities to achieve our key metrics of safety incidents, warranty & defect outflow and productivity.
- Expected to promote Toyota’s Core Values through their actions.
- Must take the lead to ensure Toyota’s policies and procedures are followed.
- Daily tasks include daily reports, production meetings, 4M change management & communication and overseeing the day-to-day activities in their responsible area all while promoting kaizen.
- Human development is an integral part of the Group Leader I’s position, they will be responsible for supporting the development of their Associates and Team Leaders within the area.
- Aid in the creation of succession plans and support strategic planning (hoshin) activity.

- Ensure all related tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain all necessary documentation related to quality and productivity within Manufacturing

- Any additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- 2 year Technical Degree preferred or High school diploma / GED with 5+ year’s relevant experience required.
- 3+ years of Leadership experience (or comparable experience) in a high production, fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Results driven, able to use visual management tools to identify problems and implement improvements.
- Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Preferred background in the electrical / battery field

The work for this position is very physical in nature with repetitive tasks. This means it is fast paced; you must be detail oriented. You must be able to stoop, bend, twist, turn, squat, reach, push, pull, grab or grasp. Proper lifting techniques are required and may include lifting up to 44.5 pounds.
Primary environment for this position is a warehouse/ factory environment. The Toyota shop floor is not climate controlled and internal temperatures will be relative to the external temperatures and temperature forecasts.
