Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and become a member of a highly productive team who solves some of the world's most complex engineering and technical challenges. We are seeking a highly capable and self-motivated Knowledge and Talent Intelligence Analyst who is a data person with superior critical thinking and analytical skills as well as an extraordinary attention to detail to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system.
The selected individual will work under the direction of the Knowledge and Talent Manager to support the various knowledge and talent management activities within the Business Operations Office in Rockville, MD. The main functions of the position will be to:
Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) continually since the program's inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is critical to our national security. For nearly seven decades, SSP has maintained and upgraded this weapon system, and we have been there every step of the way. The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and is the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. With over 70% of our nation's nuclear arsenal its importance to maintaining world peace cannot be overstated. The development of the COLUMBIA/DREADNOUGHT class, the most advanced nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed submarine ever designed, as well the next D5LE2 weapon system is under way and will begin to be rolled out over the next decade. The Navy projects this system to be operational through 2084, meaning the program will have a total life span of more than 120 years. This is a unique program and BAE Systems employees on this program understand they are part of an important legacy.
As a decades long sole source partner on multiple contracts on behalf of our customer, our program has remarkable stability and is concurrently experiencing significant growth. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Science or a related field from an accredited college or university with four (4) years of experience in data analysis, data visualizations, dashboards and/or talent management or a Master's degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Information Science or related field from an accredited college or university with two (2) years of experience.

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The selected individual will work under the direction of the Knowledge and Talent Manager to support the various knowledge and talent management activities within the Business Operations Office in Rockville, MD. The main functions of the position will be to:
- help champion organization-wide knowledge sharing, so that the organization's know-how, information and experience is captured and retained,
- support the identification and management of critical skills and knowledge domains, and
- support knowledge transfer, workforce transformation, as well as development and training efforts.
- Exploring and evaluating new technologies that meet the requirements of the analytics function
- Manipulating large heterogenous data sets (e.g., experts, skills, as well as educational and training completions) and using programming languages to create custom metrics and analytics for dashboards and data visualization projects from various data sources
- Automating repetitive data-related tasks
- Using data visualization results to derive recommendations
- Providing ad hoc analysis to create predictive models
- Managing the lifecycle of a workflow from design to execution and maintenance
- Participating in and contributing to Knowledge & Talent Management meetings
- Contributing to the preparation of status reports of Knowledge & Talent Management initiatives for senior leadership

Skills
- Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a relevant field of specialization
- Understanding of basic data science and data visualization principles
- Experience with macros
- Experience with scripting programming languages
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams [Meetings and Groups], OneNote, OneDrive) and Microsoft 365 SharePoint (site design and use of web parts, etc.)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and promote collaboration across organizational boundaries
- Basic knowledge of fundamental Talent Management concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience with Microsoft Visio and Cameo/SysML
- Experience with Generative AI repositories
- Prior experience as a defense or government contractor
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
