Allied Universal Janitorial Services, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Janitorial Lead. The Janitorial Lead will work closely with janitorial team to ensure quality of work. This working leadership role will undertake those janitorial duties requiring prior experience and a more tenured skillset. The Janitorial Lead will also take on special assignments or unique customer required details. This role will take an active leadership role in the absence of the Janitorial Supervisor.

Westlake Center is hiring for Full Time Janitorial Lead.
Pay Rate: $20.97 / hour

- Full time employees earn 12-22 days of paid vacation per year depending on lenght of employment. PT employees earn 1 hour sick leave based on every 40 hours worked.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Janitorial duties: heavy machinery operation, stripping and waxing floors, moving and arranging furniture as specifically required by contract, power washing the exterior; debris/snow removal of public walkways as prescribed by contract agreement, use of cleaning chemicals per the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), cleaning of food courts, emergency floor cleaning (spills), cleaning of restrooms, office spaces, cleaning of public glass surfaces, cleaning of public elevators, dusting of storefront ledges, clean stroller and wheel chairs as necessary, clean vending machines, dust and clean planter boxes/pots, dust directories and promotional signs, dust exterior mall exit doors; sweep exterior mall entry ways, watch throughout shift and maintain, including the emptying of trash cans and ashtrays, keep pay phones clean, dust all fire boxes, check all rear corridors; de-spot and dust as necessary, patrol rear corridors for discarded debris, clean customer service booth, wipe down all trash can lids, empty trash as necessary or directed, sweep debris from main mall common area floor throughout shift; clean any dry or wet spills immediately, for wet spills set up floor sign and dry floor before leaving area, inspect and clean restrooms every 30-minutes; stock restrooms as necessary
- Lead duties: inspect and clean all common area furniture; verify that glass was washed from the night before, de-spot glass as necessary throughout shift
- Assist with performing quality assurance checks to ensure work is completed in accordance with our customer contract
- Assist in conducting safety training
- Make productivity recommendations to leadership staff
- Perform the function of the Janitorial Supervisor in their absence
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial work experience
- Minimum of six (6) months of janitorial work experience employed by Allied Universal Janitorial Services, Millard Group, or other Allied Universal business
- Ability to troubleshoot, manage stressful situations
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy; coaching, mentoring
- Write informatively, clearly, and accurately

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior supervisory experience in the janitorial or housekeeping industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
