Role Overview
Legend Biotech is seeking an Immuno-oncology Intern as part of the R&D team based in Piscataway, NJ for our 2025 Summer Internship Program, which will run from June 9th, 2025, to August 15th, 2025. The intern candidate will evaluate the cytotoxic potential of CAR-T cells and other immune cells using various assays, with a particular focus on cytokine analysis. They will also investigate the correlation between the polyfunctional index and serial cytotoxicity across multiple donors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transfection of virus production and Flow based virus titration.
- Perform assays in particular cytokine analysis.
- Perform tumor killing assays with Xcelligene or Flow assay.
- Interpret data, analyze and present results to the manager and share with the group in group meetings.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Biology, Biotechnology or a related field;
- Lab experience (e.g., pipetting, microscopy;
- Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python);
- Understanding of biological concepts related to the internship focus (e.g., genetics, immunology, microbiology).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail for lab work and data recording.
