As a Global Radiation Safety Leader, you will be responsible for the overall development and maintenance of an effective radiation safety program to maintain compliance with radiological safety regulations, license or permit requirements, and Baker Hughes program expectations. In this role, you will own all aspects of the radiation safety program including regulator engagement, customer and internal stakeholder coordination in a matrixed team environment, deployment of policies, procedures, and training and governance.
As a Global Radiation Safety Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Defining, structuring, launching, and leading an effective global radiation safety program for the Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) segment.
- Serving as Radiation Safety Officer for assigned product/site scope and acting as the point of contact with regulatory agencies
- Overseeing environmental and occupational radiological monitoring/dosimetry results globally to ALARA exposure limit goals
- Ensuring applicable licenses, registrations, and permits are properly maintained and regulatory obligations for radiation protection programs are fulfilled
- Delivering training and supervising radiation safety of employees and contractors
- Responding to and investigating radiological events/issues
- Conducting self-assessments and audits of facilities and operations

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor's Degree in Physical or Biological Science
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in radiological safety at the professional level
- Have a proven ability to lead and manage global programs in a matrixed organizational environment
- Have a professional level of knowledge of radiation protection standards and industry best practices
