The Enterprise Technology Governance and Controls Office (GCO) Team is a first line risk management function that manages risk arising from the exposures and business activities within Business Units.

The Technology GCO PRC & RCSA Senior Risk Program Execution Consultant I is responsible for facilitating creation of the Process, Risks, and Controls (PRC) inventory and conducting the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) aligned to a particular area of technology. This role reports to the Tech GCO PRC & RCSA Senior Risk Program Execution Senior Manager and provides support to the Risk Advisors and the technology teams they support. A successful candidate will have the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this position requires effective coordination, management of tasks, activities and artifacts, planning, organizing, and executing risk remediation from start to finish, and effective communication across teams and other lines of defense.

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in documenting PRC inventories, experience conducting business unit-wide RCSAs, and a strong understanding of formal risk management processes. The Technology GCO PRC & RCSA Senior Risk Program Execution Consultant I must demonstrate sound judgment, strong relationship skills, plan management experience, a risk-based mindset, and the flexibility to re-focus based on evolving priorities.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Partner with key stakeholders and senior leaders to:

  • Facilitate workshops to create PRC inventories and execute RCSAs aligned to technology group
  • Coordinate with LOD2 and Operational Risk Management to ensure processes are aligned to authoritative sources and create, modify, or archive processes as appropriate
  • Coordinate with Process Owners, Risk Advisors, and LOD2 to identify risks associated with business processes
  • Coordinate with Process Owners, Risk Advisors, Control Owners, and LOD2 to identify controls associated to mitigate risks, ensure there are no orphaned controls, and create, modify, or archive controls as appropriate
  • Coordinate with GCO Controls testing team to ensure controls are tested as needed
  • Coordinate with GCO Issues Management team to ensure ineffective/inadequate/new controls have issues aligned to them
  • Partner with Enterprise Process Engineering and Optimization team to ensure process maps are updated as processes, risks, and controls are added, modified, or archived
  • Execute self-assessment on technology risks and controls per documented Truist policy to determine inherent risk, residual risk, and control effectiveness
  • Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on RCSA status to drive awareness of progress and holistic risk exposure across Technology GCO
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or science/academic field, or equivalent education and related training or experience.
  • Five years of risk management experience in business continuity or related field, and/or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Broad risk and regulatory knowledge with an emphasis on: Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation and Strategic Risks.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, multi-task, and drive change.
  • Strong quantitative, governance, and analytic abilities.
  • Ability to provide effective challenge to senior levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial services, technology or related field
  • Five or more years of Risk, Audit, and/or Regulatory experience
  • Previous banking or relevant experience in highly regulated industries Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Effective delivering in a fast paced, dynamic, and complex work environment
  • Foster healthy debate and challenge while establishing trust
