The Opportunity
Experienced Finance Senior Manager to support the COS (CSL Operating System) value capture workstream and reporting. You will work with different workstream teams, including operations, quality, finance, and budget owners (e.g. Site Heads and Function Leads), to ensure the creation, valuation, and tracking of plans. You will understand financial processes, have good reasoning skills, and the ability to provide expertise in calculating savings related to COS capability which is required. The COS program aims to improve the efficiency of Operations and Quality across the CSL enterprise by applying scale, enhancing capabilities, removing duplication and waste, and improving reliability, quality, and safety. Your success requires implementing change while maintaining agreement with enterprise partners. The COS framework focuses on the right activities at the right time both above and at site level, with the journey to COS implementation including Global Process Optimization and Standardization. You will also help to support strategic projects and support strategic initiatives in the business.
The Role
1. Collaborate with workstream leads, finance controllers, initiative owners, and implementation lead to support daily activities related to COS value capture. This includes functions of production, QA, QC, engineering, Supply Chain, and finance across the business segments (CSL Behring, Vifor, Seqirus) to support the following workstreams: Production Site Management System (SMS), Maintenance, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Process Engineering, Inventory Optimization, Warehousing and Logistics, Supply Chain SMS, and Procurement and future ones that will be added.
2. Support and provide oversight for the creation, valuation, and tracking of projects while ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and value capture process, maintaining of accuracy and integrity.
3. Partner with workstream finance controllers to review and validate financial forecasts and actuals reporting before monthly consolidation process.
4. Manage reporting processes providing detailed investigation and insights on in-scope spend, targets, forecasts, and actual trends. Support the preparation and presentation of financial reports to the steering committee monthly, for QBR and GLG, highlighting important recommendations according to the PMO. Use security-managed channels in TEAMS to support ongoing workstream activity.
5. Partner with finance analytics team applying Alteryx for the efficient and accurate consolidation of trackers for reporting purposes. This includes monthly leadership / steering committee level reporting and the development of reporting to support individual workstreams and site level savings consolidations.
6. Provide support to workstream teams, helping them understand budgets and improve value capture which may include collaborative development of methodologies for objectively calculating savings from COS projects.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related experience; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in finance, financial reporting and financial analysis, continuous improvement / value capture experience.
- Use logical thought processes with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Experience proving expertise and driving financial performance improvements.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other methodologies.
- Lead process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in financial / business software and tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Knowledge of CSL Operating System and related financial processes, preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, data analytics or tools like Alteryx is a plus.
