Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to research, plan, design, and develop mechanical products and systems. This includes instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and systems for mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer applications. The role involves applying research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and machines.
Responsibilities:
· Develop, modify, and maintain aircraft subsystems design configurations using current engineering practices and standards.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
· Proficiency in interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
· Experience in aircraft subsystems routing design for fluidic transport elements.
· Familiarity with NX Human Modeling.
· Knowledge of JPATS 1-8 aircrew anthropometric sizes.
· Previous experience in aircraft crew/cockpit design, interiors, or mission equipment/hardware integration.
· Understanding of cockpit flight controls, crew accommodations, mission systems, and subsystems interfaces.
· Experience with aircraft rack design, shock isolation, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment integration, and mission line replaceable unit (LRU) mounting/integration.
· Ability to implement design/integration considerations related to size, weight, power, and cooling requirements for aircraft equipment.
Requirements:
· CAD design experience with Siemens NX.
· Preferable knowledge of Teamcenter as a PDM/PLM tool.
· Mechanical design experience is a plus.
