MECHANICAL RELIABILITY ENGINEER I, II, III or SR

Join our dynamic team at the forefront of the global digital acceleration as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer I, II, III or Sr to work at our Mosaic Phosphates Central Florida Locations. The successful candidate will find opportunities to improve equipment reliability and to implement those changes through failure analysis, data collection and changes to maintenance, operations, buying and design practices.

What you’ll do?

  • Develop/Drive the successful implementation of reliability improvement initiatives to increase value and reduce losses in manufacturing process areas.

  • Work with our North America Business (NAB) Asset Integrity (AI) Team to deploy best practices across multiple facilities.

  • Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings, increased production and/or equipment life cycle through area initiatives.

  • Develop project plans for reliability initiatives based on Identify Define Measure Analyses Improve Control (IDMAIC) process.

  • Develop and deploy AI and Data Analytic principles through the EAM System (SAP S/4HANA), OIS Pi Vision data historian and other datasets/tools (using Power BI and other software) finding actionable equipment performance patterns/trends in order to prioritize improvement opportunities.

  • Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to find root cause and develop solutions.

  • Allocate resources in agreement with the Project Sponsor for Reliability initiatives.

  • Report reliability performance (measured by mean time between failures, availability, and overall equipment use) and verify that continuous improvement is occurring.

  • Develop, recommend, and implement Asset Strategies for improving equipment reliability and process reliability based on reliability principles (RCM, FMECA, etc.). Work with Maintenance Planning to have them implemented into SAP S/4HANA.

  • Facilitate groups of people through Reliability review meetings, Root Cause Analysis sessions, etc.

  • Work with maintenance engineering, planning and execution for the development, continuous improvement and application of precision maintenance procedures applied to SAP S/4HANA Job Plans.

  • Aid capital, workflow, and procurement teams for effective critical spares analysis, PM Optimization, condition monitoring, and the installation of new systems and equipment with success.

Required All Levels:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical engineering, preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office products, PI/OSISoft products or similar data historian

  • Excellent written and communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of management.

  • Must demonstrate ability to influence others; requires strong leadership qualities, and team building.

Engineer I

  • 0-2 years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Engineer II

  • 2+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Engineer III

  • 4+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Engineer Sr

  • 8+ years or more of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management

Bonus if you have the following:

  • Chemical processing and mining experience

  • Strong knowledge of Predictive Technologies (Vibration, IR, UE, MCA, Oil analysis), with certifications even better - Vibration Analysis Level I or II, Infrared Thermography Level I, Ultrasound Level I, Oil Analysis Level I, etc.

  • Certification as a CMRP and/or CRL

  • Working knowledge of Power BI and other data management software.

  • Working knowledge of OIS Pi Vision or Process Historian software.

  • Working knowledge of commonly used EAMs, such as SAP S/4HANA
