Digital Production Designer
An outdoor retailer is seeking a 40-hour a week, fully onsite Digital Production Designer. This role requires being in-office M-F i Katy without exception.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in the relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required.
Relevant field of study include UX/UI, graphic design, digital design, or digital art/media.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital design.
Working knowledge of design software including Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
Strong portfolio featuring digital design projects for websites and apps.
Skills:
Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
Professional demeanor, effective listener, clear presenter, and succinct writer.
Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions.
Ability to brainstorm and provide creative visual solutions for retail needs.
Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externally.
Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized.
Working knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative Suite and Figma) and proficiency in word processing software.
Familiarity with the use of content management systems.
Working knowledge of web accessibility requirements (WCAG)
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day digital production for main website
Adapt creative from in-house and external creative teams to fit branding and site specifications.
Design layouts and prototypes in collaboration with the merchant and marketing teams to create designs in line with each season's promotions and campaigns.
Enhance customer experience on site and mobile app using existing design templates and exploring new visual solutions.
Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, and engaging.
Actively communicate with cross-functional partners to understand the strategy and deliverables required.
Present and explain creative thinking behind the aesthetic and experience design decisions.
Ensure consistent creative across all digital channels.
Incorporate learnings from previous work in creating new layouts.
Ensure the level of excellence in all creative with a keen eye for typography, digital design, illustration, photography, and web accessibility.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
