Full Job Description

Our Digital Activation Center (DAC) develops and manages the digital standards for the US Commercial and Medical organization. The team members comprising of DAC provide guidance on digital templates, social platforms, privacy assessments and innovative initiatives where no guidance exists. The DAC Business Manager is a high-visibility role, that drives and enables decision making for the DAC team. This dynamic position leads and facilitates DAC consults, manages DAC standards and updates, writes DAC communications, and trains functional teams on DAC capabilities. This role is key in helping new initiatives from Commercial and Medical progress in a complaint manner; helping decrease risk to the organization, while increasing business impact.

The Digital Activation Center Business Manager also researches, recommends, and leads multiple AI projects to streamline DAC processes and enhance the end-user experience. This role also helps identify DAC decisions that translate into enterprise opportunities for stakeholders and communicates them effectively to drive DAC adoption and business impact.

  • DAC Operations: Lead and oversee the day-to-day activities of DAC, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment with Commercial, Medical, and Privacy goals. Organize, lead, and facilitate DAC consults, agendas, outcomes, and reporting.
  • KPIs and Performance Metrics: Develop, compile, analyze, and communicate DAC performance and established KPIs on a quarterly basis. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvement. Connect KPIs to business outcomes and campaign success. Highlight success stories to further promote DAC and benefits of engaging DAC early in the process.
  • Training: Address stakeholder questions and concerns regarding DAC. Create, update, and embed DAC training into existing training initiatives. Empower DAC stakeholders to independently complete tasks, fostering a culture of self-sufficiency and continuous improvement. Develop and deliver DAC training and continuously update it to ensure it is aligned and right sized to stakeholder needs and pulls through most frequently asked questions and challenges from stakeholders.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the workstream, requirements and deliverables to elevate the user experience for DAC members, and the stakeholders who engage in DAC processes. Regularly assess areas for improvement through formal channels and develop a plan to address opportunities.
  • DAC Written Guidance: Help create, review, publish, socialize, interpret, and periodically revise DAC written guidance (SOPs, standards, templates, and white paper briefs) for stakeholders. Regularly assess and enhance established standards and processes to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs, industry best practices, and the latest in technological advancements. Lead highly anticipated DAC workstream to modern standards and user’s interaction with them using AI tools.
  • Innovation and Implementation: Stay abreast of emerging generative AI and other digital trends and technologies. Evaluate their potential impact on DAC processes. Recommend innovative solutions to gain DAC efficiencies, enhance user experience, and support more of a self-serve model (where appropriate.) Lead approved workstreams from start to full implementation.
  • New Digital Capabilities and Channels: Schedule and facilitate DAC discussions on new digital capabilities and channels that are aligned to GSK innovation roadmap, along with strategic partner platform enhancements and updates.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a technology/analytics-related field. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing or related functional roles in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • General understanding of FDA rules around pharmaceutical promotion, along with media buying, data privacy, and social media platforms.
  • Experience in leading multiple projects simultaneously from project origination through to project completion. Accountable for developing and managing project timeline, budget, communications, and training.
  • Experience with developing KPIs, reporting and dashboards for DAC initiatives.
  • Experience in change management principles and execution.
  • Strong understanding of AI and its application in operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while holding others accountable.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms relevant to role, such as marketing automation tools, content management system (CMS), customer relationship management software, and data analytics and reporting tools. Proficiency of Smartsheet a plus.
  • Proven experience writing and updating standards using the latest technologies and best practices
