Job Description:
Job Title: Data Center Facilities Engineer
The Role
Coordinates and conducts all essential maintenance tasks and is primarily accountable for facility uptime. Provides knowledge and direction to ensure that all mechanical equipment and generators are maintained. Provides data center clients with best-in-class service, while maintaining vital facility infrastructure.
Note: This is a second shift position.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Trade school diploma and/or 4 years in the trades required.
3 years or more of facilities experience preferred.
Ability to read construction prints, submittal information, and O&M manuals.
Ability to navigate and use BMS, EPMS, and CMMS systems.
Knowledge to use Microsoft programs Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
Universal refrigerant or journeyman electrical license preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain SOP's, MOP's, and EOP's.
A working knowledge of best trade practices for either electrical, HVAC, or plumbing with a basic understanding of fire safety systems and IT infrastructure.
Organized with an attention for detail.
The Value You Deliver
Performs preventative maintenance operations, installation, and general servicing.
Provide UPS wrap around and generator operations to maintain site electrical power in the event of utility or equipment failure.
Provide escort services for vendors performing corrective repair and preventative maintenance work.
Supports Fidelity's regulatory reporting standards, information security, and environmental management system.
Maintains site logs and data collection to retain site permits.
Help to improve building processes and efficiency through continuous commissioning.
Provide monitoring and response to site alarms.
Use tools, processes, and procedures to ensure information and operations are flowing consistently.
Maintain site operations to conform with site standards and certifications ie. ISO14001, uptime M&O, etc.
Assist with site projects and maintain daily logs.
The Team
The dedicated members of the data center engineering team serve a critical role by maintaining power and temperature control to the computer equipment that supports the enterprise. We work in conjunction with enterprise infrastructure and hardware maintenance teams to maintain the operational integrity of the data center.
