Content Editor / SEO Specialist
Position Overview
Our cannabis client is seeking a skilled Content Editor / SEO Specialist to enhance their online presence through quality content and effective SEO strategies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in content creation and editing, with a strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices. This role involves collaborating with various teams to produce engaging content that is optimized for search engines and resonates with their target audience.
Location: Hybrid 1+ days/week, Downtown Seattle
Duration: 3 months to start, 20-30hrs/week, potential to extend
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and engagement
- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve website visibility
- Create high-quality, relevant content that aligns with our brand and audience needs
- Utilize AI-assisted writing tools to enhance content creation processes
- Conduct keyword research and integrate keywords into content effectively
- Monitor SEO performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop content ideas and campaigns
- Ensure that all content adheres to SEO best practices and guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in content editing and creation
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
- Proficiency in WordPress and other Content Management Systems
- Familiarity with AI-assisted writing tools
- Experience with keyword research and integration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Nice to have: Experience with crafting meta descriptions and implementing SEO best practices
- Nice to have: cannabis industry experience
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
