We are seeking a Freelance Communications Consultant to support our clients cardiology business in therapeutic area communications and brand PR. This role will play a critical part in developing and executing communication strategies for both an approved cholesterol treatment and an investigational product in Phase 3 trials  which targets elevated Lp(a) lipoprotein-a growing area of interest in cardiovascular health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead communications planning for the upcoming launch, developing a bold, award-winning PR program to raise awareness of elevated Lp(a).
  • Collaborate with PR agencies and cross-functional teams, including marketing and advocacy groups, to craft and package a compelling strategy for internal approval and execution.
  • Drive media engagement in 2024, identifying opportunities to generate awareness and coverage ahead of the full program launch.
  • Support a June 2024 data announcement by leading the development of press releases, media strategy, and communication plans, ensuring successful stakeholder alignment and approval processes.
  • Shape the company's leadership narrative in cardiovascular health, developing and executing a communication strategy to highlight expertise in this area.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven corporate communications and/or PR experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or healthcare.
