This opportunity serves as a Clinician II in Emergency Services, a 24-hour mandated service providing triage, crisis intervention, risk assessments, and pre-admission screening evaluations to individuals located in the city of Chesapeake.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

This opportunity serves as a Clinician II in Emergency Services, a 24-hour mandated service providing triage, crisis intervention, risk assessments, and pre-admission screening evaluations to individuals located in the city of Chesapeake.
- Coordinates admissions to hospitals and other outpatient treatment options.
- Advocates for individuals requiring inpatient treatment, crisis stabilization or DETOX services.
- Requires experience in crisis intervention with populations including serious mental illness, substance abuse and intellectual developmental disabilities. Utilizes DSM-V to diagnose mental health, substance abuse, developmental and other disorders.
- Consults with magistrate regarding and obtaining TDOs and ECOs to promote safety of individuals and works closely with law enforcement to triage mental health crises in the community.
- Represents CIBH in commitment hearings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
