Alfred-Almond Central School District seeks qualified District employees for the position of One (1) Cleaner (Civil Service-Non Competitive).

START DATE: ASAP

NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 hours/day 12-months/year 
SALARY RANGE: $15.35/hour

Duties to be performed, include but is not limited to:

• Mops, sweeps and washes floors, stairs, hallways and restrooms;
• Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment;
• Collects and disposes of trash and garbage and empties waste baskets;
• Takes soiled linens to the laundry area;
• Sorts, folds and stacks clean linens;
• Fills towel and soap dispensers;
• Strips and refinishes floors;
• Delivers mail, packages and supplies;
• Clean white boards, sinks and other fixtures;
• Cleans shades, mirrors and bathroom fixtures;
• Changes light bulbs;
• May be required to paint rooms and equipment;
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of building cleaning methods, procedures and equipment; ability to understand and follow simple oral and written directions; willingness to perform routine cleaning and other manual tasks; ability to get along well with others; thoroughness; dependability; in good physical condition.
