The Associate Director of Events role offers a unique opportunity to work with a seasoned senior-level leader and contribute to long-term space management. The role is responsible for managing events and supporting the leadership of the Events team. The ideal candidate should have experience in both Planning and Sales, and would report directly to the Director of Events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing and leading the Events team, as well as servicing events of all sizes. Primary servicing efforts include menu planning, agenda setting, event detailing, and communication between the planner and the operations teams. This also includes on-site execution and the wrap-up of each event. Experience in sales is a necessity, as responsibilities will include assisting with quota setting, revenue targets, and lead volume.
The Associate Director of Events will play a crucial role in maintaining strong customer relationships, attending pre-convention meetings, and conducting hotel tours. Other high-level expectations would include assisting the Director of Events with budgets, forecasting, payroll, and scheduling.
SALARY The salary range for this position is $76,000 to 95,200. This range is what Hyatt Regency McCormick Place reasonably expects to pay. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or CMP certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of previous Hotel experience
- Leader with experience and able to train and mentor both Event Planning and Event Sales Managers, Coordinators, and Event Concierge
- Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation, and organization skills are of the utmost importance.
