We are in need of a Certified Asbestos Project Monitor for a variety of projects throughout the NYC Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Handling a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments including regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation oversight
- Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations
- XRF Testing and data recording
- Technical support and report writing
Qualifications
- NYSDOL Certified Project Designer
- BS in Environmental a big+
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing asbestos abatement designs, writing NYSDOL variance petitions and managing all aspects of asbestos abatement projects
- Coordination and oversight of ACM/Regulated Building Materials Inspections, preparing abatement design technical specifications and drawings, and coordination/oversight of project monitoring personnel
- Strong writing skills is essential to the position
- Additional asbestos, lead, mold and OSHA certifications is a plus
- Candidates must have good communication skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
