Analyst, Pro Personnel

Position Summary:
The Analyst, Pro Personnel will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing professional players at all levels in collaboration with professional scouts, Baseball Research, and Player Development. The ideal candidate for this position should be creative, curious, team-oriented, and willing to learn.

- Write player evaluations using video and analytical data sources.
- Synthesize scouting information, projections, and analytics to distill player values and rankings.
- Coordinate with front office personnel to complete targeted player evaluation assignments.
- Perform research to assist with talent acquisition, internal evaluations, and market analysis.
- Assist in quality assurance of pro scouting reports and player projection models.
- Educate stakeholders on evaluation methods including live-looks, video scouting, and analytics.
- 1 - 2 years of experience with player analysis, coaching, or video scouting.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in economics, a quantitative field, or commensurate work experience.
- Data analyst experience: ability to interpret and analyze statistics.
- Exceptional skills in communicating concepts related to player evaluation and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of current industry trends related to scouting, player evaluation, biomechanical analysis, and/or technology.
- Fluency with using SQL relational databases.
- Strong computer skills with ability to operate MS Office.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds.
