We are seeking an IT Project and Portfolio Management Organization (“IT PMO”) Analyst to join American Tower’s IT organization. Day to day you will provide IT PMO support with project scheduling and budgets (i.e., entering related information into the project management system), resource management, governance (i.e., updating databases and uploading related documents), Portfolio Central (SharePoint) administration support, new-hire onboarding, and reporting. As an IT PMO Analyst, you will support Project Managers (“PM”) to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished. Support tasks include, but are not limited to, taking meeting minutes, performing system updates, coordinating meetings, and communication. You will also coordinate and prepare reports and summaries of results to be used at various organizational levels.
What You Can Offer Us
- Support IT PMO with project scheduling and budgets (i.e., entering related information into the project management system), resource management, governance (i.e., updating databases and uploading related documents), new-hire onboarding, and reporting.
- Support PMs with Portfolio Central support.
- Prepare and coordinate regional-level reporting, ensuring adherence to reporting governance and standards.
- Assist with project budget and planning processes in terms of communication, project schedules, and reports.
- Support Resource Managers with resource over/under project allocations and assist with resolving issues.
- Provide support with onboarding and training of new hires; update training reference material.
- Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments and assist the IT PMO with various ad hoc requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a project-oriented environment preferred.
- SharePoint and MS Project Server (or a comparable resource scheduling tool) experience strongly preferred.
- Conceptual knowledge of information technology and project management methodologies preferred.
- Financial and accounting processes and procedures experience preferred.
- Tower industry, operations, leasing, or real estate experience preferred.
- Strong track record of collaboration and building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills to support project reporting requirements.
- Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable timelines and proactively follow up with internal and external customer needs.
- Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and SharePoint
- Approximately 20% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
