Job Description

The Arts & Humanities Division accepts applications from qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions and reviews them when an opening becomes available. The 40+ faculty in the Arts & Humanities Division teach core and elective courses in the undergraduate program across a wide range of disciplines and liberal arts specializations.

Babson College is an independent school of management that takes an innovative approach to prepare undergraduates, graduate students, and working professionals for the challenges of the modern business world. Babson undergraduate students take approximately half of their credits in the liberal arts. Babson’s unique curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking and a wide range of multidimensional skills that prepare Babson graduates to make important contributions to business and society in dynamic environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Teach liberal arts courses in our undergraduate program for the Arts & Humanities Division.

Take advantage of teaching development through our Center for Engaged Teaching and Learning (CELT) and coaching from colleagues.

Assume additional responsibilities as required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED

Relevant graduate degree (e.g., MFA, PhD) from an accredited university. M.A. or MFA for Writing areas; M.A. in a related field for the other scholarly disciplines. College teaching experience required for all positions. Applicants may also be ABD or hold a PhD in the appropriate field.

Previous college or university teaching experience and/or practical disciplinary/field experience relevant to the course(s) being taught.
